In the English class, this year’s first topic was “globalisation“. We discussed child labour, the sportswear industry, sweatshops in Bangladesh and even the fairphone. After that we specialized. In groups of five we discussed drugs, beauty, water, social networks, food and migration. We gathered information and created our own posters. Then we presented them to the rest of the class during a “gallery walk”: One student from each group of experts had to join a mixed group. In the mixed group, we visited each poster (like in an art gallery) and had it explained to us.
